Brighton
Maria began training at the Beacon Arts. She has competed in many Contemporary dance youth groups including Penny and Jules youth. After college she went on to further her training at NSCD in Leeds before completing her Degree in Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. Maria bases her classes on the fundamentals of Ballet and Contemporary whilst giving the space for her students to be expressive and explorative.
Lucy is an passionate and skilled vocal coach who teaches students of all ages and abilities in schools and freelance. After studying Theatre at University of Surrey and achieving her Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre Singing with LCM, Lucy worked in theatres whilst appearing in community operas, off west end productions and singing with bands (blues and pop/rock). Lucy specializes in building confidence and skill, in fun and engaging sessions.
Lauren is a street-dancer from Brighton who is wanting to study sport science at University. Lauren has experience training in football, dance and gymnastics. She has been dancing since she was 7 years old and has won many titles nationally and internationally. She competed at the world championships of dance in 2019 and came 3rd. She coached classes for her dance company for a couple of years and has now moved over to B.A.
Katie is a passionate and bubbly individual who currently works as a teaching assistant in an infant school. She also holds a unique qualification which is a level 4 diploma in teaching Street Dance with over 10 years experience coaching a competition crew and teaching classes at Brighton’s ‘Streetfunk’. Katie has competed in Street Dance competitions all around the world including the world championship held in Las Vegas.
Clary has been a Sports Leader at Blatchington Mill Secondary School which has included roles including; organising the Brighton and Hove Primary Schools cross country, working as a demonstrator at BACA multisport days and assisting in afterschool clubs for younger age groups in football, hockey, netball and cross country. Outside of school Clary has been a regular volunteer at Parkrun performing many roles including result adjudicating, bar code scanning and timing functions as well as working
Tor is a kind and organised coach who has a great passion for sport. He has played for many football clubs through his years, and has recently started endurance cycling. Tor is studying his A-levels at the moment, and has completed sport coaching as part of the sport & exercise science course. Tor is coaching football and gymnastics at BA Academy.
I have a very good knowledge of French and Spanish, after completing my BA (Hons) in both languages, where I achieved a distinction in spoken French. Visiting my French and Spanish family around the world thoroughly helps me to progress my skills further. My other passion has always involved working with children and all my previous jobs have been in nurseries and primary school settings.
Maria Nielsen is a professionally trained musical theatre performer from Manchester, who was awarded a full scholarship by the Dance and Drama awards to train at the Hammond School of Performing Arts. Her professional credits include, originating the leading role of ‘Alicia’ in Alicia: The Musical, a rock Opera musically directed by Tim A Duncan, and performing along side Louise Spence in Cinderella at the Manchester Opera House.
This is Maria Gaafar. She's a practicing Artist that specializes in line drawing and oil painting, she also explores other media such as; digital art, ceramics, watercolour and moving imagine/ film. She loves expanding her artistic palette and teaching allows her to share her craft with the next generation of artists. Maria is currently finishing up her Fine Art:Drawing Degree with UAL, she's been teaching for over 3 years and loves working with children.
Rachel has maintained a passion for languages since an early age, studying French in school through to A-Level and continuing to learn into adulthood. She has experience working as a one-to-one French tutor throughout sixth form, helping children to gain confidence and competence in French listening, reading, speaking and writing. Rachel is currently studying a master’s degree at UCL Institute of Neurology.
